AMY JO SMITH and DORIS RYAN as the Brewster Sisters
Doris Ryan leads a star-studded cast for Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring. The production is being sponsored by McGill-Karnes Funeral Home in Loudon, TN (865-458-2262).
Doris will be playing Abbey with Amy Jo Smith as her charming sister, Martha, who populate their cellar with the remains of socially and religiously “acceptable” roomers. Experience the antics of their nephews, Teddy, who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt, and Mortimer, a manic theatre critic. Teddy will be played in great fashion by Jack Spiceland and Mortimer is being portrayed by Len Willis. Jean Mallet is cast as Mortimer’s love interest, Elaine, the daughter of Rev. Harper, played by Roger Covert . They live next door to these “charming” aunts.
The third brother is the psychotic, Jonathan, played by Jim Thompson and his sidekick, Dr. Einstein, played by Gerry Benson. These two show up just in time to make the whole situation even more confusing and hilarious.
While Mortimer is trying to figure out who killed whom and how to make sure the killings stop, he tries to warn the local bumbling cops. The cops are Gibbs, played by Doug Banister, Officer O’Hara played by Bill Bruggen, Officer Klein played by Barry Rummel, Officer Brophy played by Eric Nicholson and Lt. Rooney played by Neil Bennett.
Helen Nicholson will direct this crowd-pleaser. Arsenic and Old Lace will be presented at the Loudon High School Auditorium March 7 – 10th at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $15 and will be on sale at the Village Salon, ReMax at the Lake, Kahite Pub and Greer’s Furniture in Loudon. Tickets will also be available at the door. If you have any questions, please contact Helen at 865-458-3386.

Center Stage Notes by Len Willis, President
New Members and Volunteers Welcome!
The Tellico Community Players have provided live entertainment to the Tellico community for over 20 years. Our mission is to make each production an enjoyable theater experience.
We are all volunteers. Some of our members have extensive theatre experience working alongside others with limited or no stage experience. Everyone is welcome to join the fun.
In addition to acting, you might want to try some of our backstage or behind-the-scenes opportunities. We welcome those who would like to work in various capacities, such as sound system operation, stage lighting, costumes, stage make-up, set design, set construction, publicity, and stage properties (props). Maybe you are an established Tellico Player who would like to try something new this year. However you wish to become involved in the Tellico Community Players Family, we welcome you. Join us for a great season ahead, beginning with Arsenic and Old Lace in March!
